The thermal baths and spa of Gréoux-les-Bains

The Thermes de Gréoux-les-Bains are operated by the Chaîne Thermale du Soleil. Their waters address two therapeutic specialisms: rheumatology and respiratory conditions. Guests come for a three-week prescribed course, as well as for shorter stays.

For a moment of pure relaxation, the thermal spa offers wellness escapes with no medical course required. The establishment generally opens from early spring to early December and is closed on Sundays — consult the current year's dates and prices on the thermes website before your visit.

What to do in Gréoux-les-Bains

  • The so-called Templars' château — despite its name, it never belonged to the Knights Templar. Its various sections date from the 12th to the 17th century; it has been listed as a historic monument since 1840.
  • The old village — sloping lanes beneath the château, sun-drenched terraces and local shops.
  • The banks of the Verdon — the river runs through the town, offering a cool and pleasant stroll.
  • Lac d'Esparron — just upstream from the Gréoux dam: swimming, canoeing, paddleboarding and electric boating. Read our guide to Lac d'Esparron.
  • Valensole and the lavender — in June and July, the plateau bursts into bloom just twenty minutes away. See our lavender guide.
